So as an avid follower of fashion blogs and the sort, I've come across the main reasons why you NEED J. Faye Circle Shades in your accessory wardrobe.

As some of you may well know, I'm a makeup artist that works for MAC Cosmetics and I've been busy the the past couple months with that job pulling out all the stops since we have some major launches coming up in the next couple of weeks so I've been spreading myself thin when it comes to all the extra stuff I love doing like blogging here, Style Insights, J.Faye on Etsy, and YouTube. So here's a couple obligatory updates for what happened the first couple weeks in September.

August Ataxia

August has been a busy month for me so far. I've been juggling my job as a makeup artist and job of handling an etsy store. I've also been busy with getting rid of 5 years worth of stuff I never had time to really look through and been focusing on being a minimalist of some sort (which is a hard process for me since I grew up with a hoarding/pack rat of a mother). 

I know I'm a little late and scarce on blog posts but I've been working fervently on crafting and curating pieces for Fall/Winter stuff for my etsy store. If you follow me on twitter, you've seen some previews like the ones below:

All Black Everything

I haven't had a real outfit post in some time since most of the looks I've posted on Lookbook, you've seen before and were actually to showcase my designs for Etsy


Nevertheless, I had a really good day on Saturday. It [my really good day] made up for the fact that I work every single day this July 4th weekend. Not only did the AUS Gods bless me (you should feel lucky if you don't know what AUS means), I got officially certified (for my job @ MAC!). It only took me 4 years but I guess it's better late than never LOL.


So the day I got certified I wore this:

- Vintage thrifted leather moto vest

- Swarovski Golf Jet Leather Bracelet

- Vintage Lingerie Top

- Uniqlo pleather shorts

- Coco circle shades J.Faye

- Jeffrey Campbell Suede Mariel Wedges 
- MAC Cherry lipliner & Ruby Woo lipstick (my current fav red lip to complete the [Nars] Orgasm blush, lipstick and concealer look. LOL)

and last but not least my 2 favorite pieces of jewelry to wear to work:

- and MY CERTIFICATION NECKLACE! YAY ME!

I'm excited to share what I've been working on with you guys! I've been trying to crank out enough pieces to get this thing going. I've wanted to share my repurposed/upcycled designs forever, but in the past, lack of time and resources prevented me from doing so. Now, I've got at least one of the two and even got my own photographer for when Jerald can't take pictures!

Asymmetrical DNA Clinic

So behind on this post. I posted this look on Lookbook about 2 weeks ago and figured I'd share it with people who follow my blog. I originally made this dress for my collections class for Fashion Design. It was one of my final pieces and I finally got to wear it along with a piece of my jewelry I designed (J.Faye: DNA Ring Bracelet in silver and gold)

Stylin' Insight

Did a "shoot" of sorts at our apt to put up on our StyleInsights.com blog. I posted this look on Lookbook a couple days ago and just have to let everyone know how obsessed I am with Jeffrey Campbell shoes.

Step 1: Re-Vamping

So lately I've been busy with school, but with it now being over, I get to really focus on building my brand. So I figured Step 1 would be Re-Vamping my logo for my etsy. Although the I loved the original logo and the Mondrian inspired heart with my favorite color (which I tried to do) I feel like it was kinda busy:

I still wanted to incorporate all of the design elements that made me like the first one into a logo that's more simplified. So, here's my re-vamped logo:
